his Arroasian abbey located in Shropshire four miles to the north east of Telford was founded in around 1148 by Richard de Belmeis. Sometime later the Arroasian Order was absorbed into the Augustinian Order and the abbey came became Augustinian. A good deal of stonework can be seen including the finely decorated west door and a walkway where you can look down on the remains. Maintained now by English-Heritage, this abbey can be visited free of charge.
