Biddlesden Abbey

iddlesden Abbey was a Cistercian abbey populated by monks from Garendon Abbey. Nothing of the abbey now remains and the site is occupied by a private house. The abbey was founded in 1147.

 A new Cistercian abbey was founded in 1147 by Ernald de Bosco and monks from Garendon.[1]
